Specialists at the competence center work on all three eUROGEN workstreams: rare congenital uro-recto-genital malformations, functional urogenital conditions requiring highly specialized surgery and rare urogenital tumours. Each workstream focuses on rare diseases and accumulates experience, by discussing cases with teams from other countries thus ensuring continuity of patient healthcare at all ages.

Rare congenital urogenital anomalies: disorders of sex development, exstrophy and epispadias of urinary bladder, pediatric urolithiasis, posterior urethral valves, scrotoperineal hypospadia, urorectal and other rare congenital urogenital anomalies.

Functional conditions: complex pelvic floor function disorders, female urethra disorders, urethral reconstruction, interstitial cystitis, rare retroperitoneal space diseases.

Rare urogenital tumors: penis, testicles, adrenal glands, retroperitoneal tumors, rare renal tumors.

By improving diagnosis and access to high-quality treatment and care we hope to improve not only disease control but also a quality of life of our patients. We also contribute in developing guidelines and spreading awareness among patients and physicians. The main advantage of competence centers – experienced multidisciplinary team and cooperation with other competence centers.
