Center of Rare Rheumatic Diseases is a part of VUH SK Rare Diseases Coordinating Center and actively participates in its activities. Also, constant training and scientific work regarding rare rheumatic diseases takes place in our competence center.
The most important topics, covered by research in The Center of Rare Rheumatic Diseases: vasculitis, systemic sclerosis, systemic connective tissue diseases, pulmonary hypertension complications, paraneoplastic myositis, autoimmune arthritis and others.
International cooperation
Competence center also co-operates with other Lithuanian and international Rheumatology centers and clinics, participates in European Vasculitis Society (EUVAS), European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR), European Scleroderma Trials and Research group (EUSTAR) activities. Young rheumatologists are also participating in EMerging EUlar NETwork (EMEUNET) activities.
Together with Center of Rare Rheumatic and Auto-Inflammatory Diseases in Children we are an affiliated member of European Reference Network for Immunodeficiency, Autoinflammatory, Autoimmune and Pediatric Rheumatic diseases (ERN RITA).
