Clinical supervisor (clinical geneticist): Loreta Cimbalistienė, Prof., MD, PhD graduated in pediatrics at Vilnius University. Since 1986 she acquired the degree of clinical geneticist and practice at the Centre for Medical Genetics. Geneticist defended PhD degree, performed the habilitation procedure in 2009. Continually takes part in various courses and conferences in both Lithuania and abroad. Professor is a member of the European Society of Human Genetics, the Lithuanian Society of Human Genetics, the Lithuanian Doctor`s Society, since 1994 - the Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism. cimbalistiene
Algirdas Utkus, Prof., MD, PhD, graduated in pediatrics at Vilnius University, acquired the degree of clinical geneticist at the abroad institution. Practice as clinical geneticist since 1990. Physician improved his skills at Health institutions in USA, France, and Russia, continually takes part in various courses and conferences in both Lithuania and abroad. Defended PhD degree, performed the habilitation procedure. Professor is a member of the European Society of Human Genetics, the Lithuanian Society of Human Genetics.
Aušra Matulevičienė, MD Physician acquired her degree in clinical genetics at the Department of Human and Medical Genetics Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University. She had an internship at the Department of Medical Genetics of St. George's Hospital Medical School, continually takes part in various courses in both Lithuania and abroad: Italy, France, Spain. Doctor is a member of the European Society of Human Genetics, the Lithuanian Society of Human Genetics, the Lithuanian Doctor`s Society, since 2006 is a representative of the Republic of Lithuania at the Committee of Orphan Medicinal Products of European Medicine Agency (London, UK).
Evelina Dagytė, MD Physician acquired her degree in clinical genetics at the Department of Human and Medical Genetics Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University. She practices as clinical geneticist since 2006. Physician is an author of methodological educational textbook “Laboratory investigations of chromosomal diseases” („Chromosominių ligų laboratoriniai tyrimai“). Continually deepens her knowledge at various courses and conferences. Geneticist is a member of the European Society of Human Genetics, the Lithuanian Society of Human Genetics, the Lithuanian Doctor`s Society.
Birutė Tumienė, MD. The absolvent of Vilnius University acquired her degree in clinical genetics at the Department of Human and Medical Genetics Faculty of Medicine. Areas of interest: inborn errors of metabolism, rare diseases. Continually deepens her knowledge at various traineeships, courses, conferences in both Lithuania and European countries. Physician is a member of the Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism, the Group of inborn errors of metabolism specialists in the Baltic countries, the Lithuanian team of Organization for Rare Diseases Orphanet
Violeta Mikštienė, MD. Physician acquired her degree in clinical genetics at the Department of Human and Medical Genetics Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University. She performs laboratory investigations at the Molecular Genetics Laboratory of the Centre for Medical Genetics.
Eglė Preikšaitienė. Physician acquired her degree in clinical genetics at the Department of Human and Medical Genetics Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University. She performs cytogenetic investigations at the Cytogenetic laboratory of the Centre for Medical Genetics. Physician is a graduate student of medicine at the faculty of Medicine. She participates in scientific research at the Department of Human and Medical Genetics of Vilnius University.

DEPARTMENT OF PRENATAL DIAGNOSIS

Coordinator, clinical geneticist: Eglė Benušienė, assoc. prof., MD, PhD completed her studies at the Faculty of Medicine of Kaunas Medical Institute and acquired a specialty of a obstetrician-gynecologist in 1990. In 1997, she has completed the studies at the Faculty of Medicine at Vilnius University and acquired a specialty of a clinical geneticists, and since 1998, she has been working at the Centre of Medical Genetics. Her focus area is prenatal diagnosis of inherited diseases and congenital disorders. In 2003, she earned her doctorate at Vilnius University, Faculty of Medicine. Since 1998, she has been working as a research fellow in the Department of Human and Medical Genetics of the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University, and since 2007 – as an associated professor. She has been improving her professional qualification in scientific and healthcare centers in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Italy. She is also a member of the Lithuanian Society of Human Genetics, and of the Lithuanian Union of Physicians. benusiene
Clinical geneticist Eglė Butkevičienė graduated from Kaunas medical academy and acquired a specialty of obstetrician-gynecologist in 1990. In 2001, she has completed the medical genetics residency at the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University and acquired a specialty of a clinical geneticist. Since 2001, she has been working as a clinical geneticist at the Department of Prenatal Diagnosis of the Center of Medical Genetics. Eglė Butkevičienė has been constantly improving her professional knowledge in various internships and courses in Lithuania and abroad. She is a member of the Lithuanian Society of Human Genetics, the Lithuanian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, International Society for Prenatal Diagnosis, the European Teratology Society and of the Lithuanian union of Physicians.
Clinical geneticist Natalija Krasovskaja has graduated from Kaunas Medical Academy in 1990. In 1994, she has completed the obstetrics-gynecology residency and acquired a specialty of a obstetrician-gynecologist. In 2004, she has completed the clinical genetics residency at Vilnius University and acquired a specialty of a clinical-geneticist. She has been constantly improving her professional qualification by taking courses and participating in conferences in Lithuania and abroad (Great Britain, Check Republic, Hungary, Italy, etc.).
Psychologist Valerija Norkūnienė is a graduate of clinical psychology programme of Vilnius University. She consults the patients of the Centre of Medical Genetics having genetic pathologies, assess their intelligence and give consultations to pregnant women.
