Saulius Ročka, MD, Phd, Assoc. Prof. Chairman of the Center of Neurosurgery, Assoc. Prof. in the Clinics of Neurology and Neurosurgery of Vilnius University. Neurosurgeon. Graduated from Vilnius University on 1998. PhD degree on “Hydrodynamic peculiarities of the non-invasively acquired ultrasonic intracranial pulse waves”, Vilnius University, Vilnius, Lithuania, 2003. Clinical internships: (2001) The Georgia Neurosurgical Institute, PA, Macon, Georgia, USA, (2000) Institute of Neurological Sciences, Southern General Hospital, Glasgow, Scotland (UK), (2012) Department of Neurosurgery, Sahlgrens University Hospital, Gothenburg, Sweden.

Area of interests: neurooncology, epilepsy surgery, paediatric neurosurgery, spinal surtery.

 Saulius Rocka

Robertas Kvaščevičius is the Head of neurosurgical department. He has completed his medical training in 1988 and neurosurgical training in 1990. Robertas has maintained thesis (“Transcranial ultrasonography for hydrocephalus diagnostic”) in 2003 at Vilnius University. He participated in international neurosurgical training programs in USA and other European neurosurgical centers. His fields of interest are: cerebral and spinal surgery. He is a lector in Neurological and Neurosurgical Clinic in Vilnius University and a member of Lithuanian Neurosurgical society board.

Kvascevicius

 

Ugnius Ksanas has completed his medical training in 1992 and neurosurgical training in 1994 at Vilnius University. He participated in international neurosurgical training programs in Great Britain, Czech Republic, Estonia, Ukraine, Finland, Turkey, Slovenia, Switzerland, Portugal, Denmark, Germany, and Japan. His fields of interest are: cerebral neurovascular diseases (aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations), neurooncology, skull base surgery, spinal surgery, head and spine trauma.

Arturas Sitkauskas has completed his neurosurgical training in 1999. He is operating patients with cerebral and spinal disorders. His fields of interest are: functional neurosurgery, facial pain diagnostics and treatment, neurooncology with sub specialization in intraoperative brachytherapy, photodynamic diagnostics and treatment. He is the initiator for percutanic trasovalic procedures for trigeminal neuralgia in Vilnius.

Sitkauskas

 

Gintaras Migauskas has completed his medical training at Vilnius University in 1993 and neurosurgical training in 2000. His fields of interest are: cerebral and spinal neurooncology, neurovascular diseases, pediatric neurosurgery, and central nervous system trauma. He participated in international neurosurgical training programs in Helsinki, Finland, maxilla-facial surgery institute in Detroit, USA and Kaunas University.

Jevgenijus Skuryginas has completed his neurosurgical training in 2011 at Vilnius University. He participated in international neurosurgical training programs in Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary and Estonia. He underwent 4 years EANS (European Association of Neurosurgical Organizations) training course. His fields of interest are: degenerative spine disorders, cerebral and spinal neuro-oncology, head and spine trauma.

 5 J Skuryginas

 

Ramūnas Raugalas has completed his medical training in 1988 at Kaunas University, faculty of Medicine and neurosurgical training in 2008 at Vilnius University. Since 2008 he has been working in Children’s traumatology department, Neurosurgical subdivision, Children‘s Hospital, Affiliate of Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos and since 2014 in Neurosurgical department in Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos. His fields of interest are: pediatric neurosurgery. He is an assistant in the Neurology and Neurosurgery Clinic, Vilnius University.

 6 Ramunas Raugalas

 

Aidanas Preiksaitis has completed his neurosurgical training in 2013 at Vilnius University. He works as a research fellow in Neurology and Neurosurgery Clinic, Vilnius University and tele-mathematic laboratory, Kaunas University of Technology. He participated in international neurosurgical training programs in Greece, France, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Singapore, Denmark and Finland. His fields of interest are: a dysfunction cerebral auto-regulation in patients with severe head trauma, cerebral and spinal surgery.

 A. Preiksaitis

 

Ieva Sataite has completed her medical training in 2010 at Vilnius University. She is in a neurosurgical training program since 2010 and will graduate in 2015. Her fields of interest are: neuro-oncology. She has been working as a doctor’s assistant in Neurosurgical department since 2014.

Jelena Scerbak has completed her medical training in 2009 at Vilnius University. She is in a neurosurgical training program since 2010 and will graduate in 2015. She participated in international neurosurgical training programs in Austria, Great Britain, France, Czech Republic and Estonia. Her fields of interest are: neurovascular surgery, neuro-oncology. She has been working as a doctor’s assistant in Neurosurgical department since 2014.
